Ready Kate is a small family business in Norwich, England. We are in charge of your details (the data controller).

What we collect

• Your email address.
• Your first name, if you give it.
• Your language.
• Your country, which our web host works out from your connection.
• The page you came from.
• Your browser type.
• Your saved plan, if you save it with your email. It can say that someone at home needs medicine or medical equipment. We use it only to help you get ready, and we delete it if you ask.
• Your messages, if you contact us.

Why we use it

• To give you the free Kit List.
• To send you Kate's weekly email, only if you ticked the box.
• To answer your messages.

Our legal basis

We send Kate's weekly email only with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can take it back any time.

We answer messages and keep the site safe because we have a legitimate interest in doing so (Article 6(1)(f)).

If you did not tick the weekly email box, we still keep your email. This is so we can send you the free Kit List you asked for, and keep a record that we sent it. This is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). We keep it no longer than 12 months.

Where we keep it

Your details are kept by Cloudflare, our web host and database.

Cloudflare may process data outside the UK. When it does, standard legal safeguards protect it.

How long we keep it

If you ticked the weekly email box: until you ask us to delete it, or 2 years after your last contact with us, whichever comes first.

If you did not tick the box: no longer than 12 months.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner, at any time.

We never sell your details

We never sell or rent your details.

Only the companies that run our website and database for us store them. Today that is Cloudflare. Once we start sending emails, our email service will store them too.

These companies may not use your details for anything else.

Shop links and cookies

Ready Kate sets no cookies.

Some links go to Amazon and other shops. If you click through, those shops may set their own cookies. Their privacy rules apply there.

We use your browser's local storage only to remember your language and your country. It stays on your device.

Your rights

You can:

• see the details we hold about you,
• ask us to correct them,
• ask us to delete them,
• object to how we use them,
• get a copy of your details to take somewhere else,
• withdraw your consent at any time.

You can also complain. In the UK, contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. In the EU, contact your local data protection authority.

How to stop emails

Reply "stop" to any email from Kate, or email hello@readykate.com. We will stop sending them.
